Don’t worry it’s not like I’m going to mole on daily bases, i just experienced a very interesting thing today and thought to share:
I was waiting for my doctor appointment at KHCC along with Mom – poor mom she is barely handling things these days – and there was this lady who is staring at me like I’m alliance or something, and it is obvious she is on chemo therapy plan. She gave me few more looks I couldn’t stand them. Accidently I found a chocolate in my pocket, I handed it to her and smiled saying “Salamtek, kol 3am w ente bkhair” – well I really wanted to say I’m no better than you, 7elli 3anni- . She smiled back – ohh- and moved to set beside me and asked who the patient is? I replied, Me.
I remember I was neutral towards what I’m going to pass through, yet she started to energize me with a very positive energy as I feel I’m a Duracell battery now. With no embracement she opened her heart to me and shared her suffer - for I don’t know how long – with cancer which kept moving from her breast to her liver to her spinal till she couldn’t move. She has 2 children her husband and her family in law didn’t stand beside her as she is looking for a divorce now, money obstacles, low morals, how the asshole took her 2 children for a while and now she could get them back along with her full health, and despite all that she kept her smile on and kept positive.
Today was her last therapy day - Hamdellah- , she said Ola, I will hand you the summary of this experience: 90% your positivity 10% your treatment under obeying God.
We exchanged our phone numbers and promised each other to touch base.
Though I was dizzy and fuzzy bcoz of the drugs and stayed for like 4 hours in the hospital between setting some appointments getting more drugs - like I need them- and others, I managed to pass by another friend who had breast cancer surgery today and energize her with some of what I have.
Thanks God I had that chocolate in my pocket.
7abebty Ola ... U r strong mashaAllah 3annek 7abebty.. Allah ye7meeky mn kol shar ya Rab..
ReplyDeletePeople just want to talk and the poor woman who has just been abandoned by her Damned jerk husband is one of those people... we can listen, pray and sympathise with poeple as long as we can... My mom always told me: Strong people can defeat cancer... so be strong please and do it for us please... God bless ur pure heart ... :*
Sometimes a piece of chocolate is nothing but a blessing in disguise! you both were meant to have that talk. Thank God! it gave you strength -even more, mashalla 3alaiki!- and you realize now you are lucky to have your friends and family to support you and to hold your hand as you go.It could have been worse..ALWAYS!!
ReplyDeleteListen to that woman and keep your spirits soaring high!it's proven helpful!
And keep on moleing, for one day -inshalla- you'll be reading them for your grandchildren and tell them proudly that you had cancer and you beat it! and untill that day..let us all learn from you that those who trust God and themselves can achieve what once was thought to be unachievable!
P.S: I've always believed that "Ola"s are special..and you are no exception ;)
