When I wrote about the “Gold”, I thought I gave the hair head its right to be covered… well, it showed up to me being “Bald” is totally a whole different, joyful, unusual experience that you will live it once a life if you were chosen (unless it came by choice).
First, I want to apologies for you. I deceived you (and I was deceived myself) with two information that I kept on spreading with ignorance (see! I still have lots to learn with you) which are:
1. I said before: Radiotherapy doesn’t cause hair loss. Well, it turns out it does – I’m Bald now -; however that is only because it was pointed on my head (brain fields), if my “tsunami” was in somewhere else I wouldn’t have lost the “Gold”.
2. I said before: my “Tsunami” can’t be treated by chemotherapy; it only can be healed with a surgery followed by radiotherapy for each occurrence I will witness. Well, I’m on chemo pills now!!! This occurrence I was lucky to have my “Bara3em” in the brain, which opened a third treatment channel; there is this chemo type that can reach the brain cells and make them weak hoping with radiotherapy the response will be much better as we are trying all possible chances for my cure – Insha’Allah-.and to be honest I don’t know if it will cause hair loss or not, I still have my eyebrows, & eye lashes on (I may need to ask about this).
Please excuse my ignorance; actually I would encourage you to “Wikipedia” the information I give, if you are interested for the sake of the accurate benefits.
Hair loss caused by radiotherapy is different than chemo… with radio “el-Gar3a” will look like a football ball; where little hair will remain here and there and some areas will be left “Bald”. Thinking of it now, I can give a girl an excuse that was shocked seeing me “bald” with eyebrows & eyelashes on; which forced her to say to her partner: “look, Absar sho m3ha hai?!” (Ignorance, ignorance, ignorance).
I didn’t look like a cancer patient (or like the way we “imagine” cancer patients’ look); I looked like I have another disease called (Alopecia “Tha3labeh”).
Since short hair wig costs 180JD and challenging myself or being challenged is my hobby (besides I will never be ashamed of having cancer). going to the mall “Bald” gave me more self-confidence,I did my duty towards supporting cancer patients “Proudly”, and maybe other patients type (Alopecia patients for example) and much more.(How do I challenge myself to get the best out of me) should have a whole “Mole” insha’Allah.
Till then, if you were wondering how do I look these days? I would say I’m no different from “Buddhism – Buddha’s followers -” that we know … pretty casual, and COOL :).
angelic face
ReplyDelete7abibti ola. U look amazing mashallah. And u r as beautiful as ever. Your spirit alone shines my days :-*
ReplyDeleteAllah yi7meeki babe
7abeebty 3alloosh... you look so cute with this shiny head... and the pause nahfeh :)
ReplyDeleteSinéad O'Connor, the singer... chose to have a bald look forever as part of her fight for women rights... that women shouldn't be judged by their looks and how beautiful they are... I see her as one of the most beautiful girls ever, the bald look spot the focus on her cute face which made her even prettier.
I must say, I prefer bald 3ola over Sinéad O'Connor... love you :*
You look gorgeous no matter what.
ReplyDeleteAllah with you Ola..... our prayers and thoughts with you...
ReplyDeleteI think of you very often, Ola, and I believe that all the prayers from all who love you will reach the heavens. God bless who you are, and may He give you enough strength to over-come this. You're courageous, gorgeous, a role-model and a princess =)
ReplyDeleteBig hugs
Sh@100, may god help you and be with you, i have a question, it seems to me from your words you are a muslim, why don't you put on a scarf to hide it when going out instead of walking bald in the street? As far as i know it is a must for muslim women
ReplyDeleteSry, not a muslim and not aware of all this.
Dear 'Not Muslim' anonymous ,who is speaking about scarf and Muslims, can you reach me directly to my email: ola.muath@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteSorry, I cant let open discussions happen on my blog. at least not now beacuse i dont have the energy to do so since im on my treatment plan will slow me down.

Ola
mashalla Ola, Alla yqaweke kman w kman, I want to add one more thing about th difference between radiation & chemo loss hair, hairloss by radiation will cause your head to shine, I don't know if you notice some ppl thier head shines while other not, it's cos they take radiation.
